Today, what’s making me happy is my friend Lydia Jayne.
(From left to right: Lydia, my little sister Betsy and me)
Lydia, we were best friends growing up. My first sleepover was at your house. I’m pretty sure I’ve had more sleepovers with you than with any other friend. We went to the beach, watched movies, had picnic across the street, played Wii, ate food, and pretended to work out. You were always around, and we had so much fun together.
(Oh, yes, can’t forget about the dress up;D)
We haven’t really hung out much lately. We don’t see each other very often. Today was our first hang-out in a while. And it was so fun. Sure, things are different now. We’ve both changed. But, in a lot of ways, it was way less awkward than I was expecting. I’ve missed talking to you, and hanging out with you. I miss you, Lydia.
(At my 8th birthday party)
Let’s hang out again soon, k?
Love ya, Lyd!

And that, is Day 5 of 100 Happy Days.
What made you happy today?
